What You’ll Do
As a Care Assistant, you’ll support people to live well in the comfort of their own homes. Every visit is personal, and your role is to bring reassurance, dignity, and a warm presence to the people we care for.
Key Responsibilities
- Help with washing, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Support with toileting, continence care, and mobility
- Prompt or administer medication and record details accurately
- Prepare and serve meals and drinks, supporting healthy nutrition
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Help with light housekeeping tasks like laundry, tidying, and cleaning
- Accompany clients on outings, errands, or to appointments
- Provide sensitive support during illness or end-of-life care
- Communicate with families and professionals when needed

Essential Qualities
- A kind and compassionate nature
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and responsible
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible with shift availability, including some weekends
- Willingness to undertake a DBS check
- Committed to high standards of care and conduct
Desirable
- Experience in a care or support role
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care
- Medication training
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Business insurance if using your car for work
